Experimental course introducing simple and fun printmaking techniques!

All abilities welcome! Printmaking course perfect for beginners looking to try something new, different, fun and experimental!

 

Bring your own A3 sketchbook and b pencils. All printmaking tools and specialist art materials will be supplied by the Art Angel Artist. Individual works stations but please bring your own apron & face mask!

 

Exploring a range of effective printmaking techniques and processes. Discover how to create your own experimental artworks by printing images and combining techniques such as collage, drawing, painting, pen and ink. You will be introduced to Mono printing, Gelli Plate printing - mixed-media monotype printing without a press. 

Inspired by Artists such as Ben Nicholson, Gerhard Richter, Pablo Picasso and Max Ernst!

This one-day workshop teaches you how to create your own piece of felt!

Limited to 4 places - £45

 

A fabulous felt making workshop that leads you through the whole process of making your own unique textile artwork! Roll up your sleeves and learn how to make a piece of colourful felt. Felt is the oldest form of fabric in the world. It is a soft cloth made by matting fibres together using water. Felt is used in many cultures for making a variety of articles - slippers, bags, garments, tents and rugs.

Introducing one of the earliest fabric making techniques and processes that allow you to create a wonderful piece of textile art. Discover and enjoy handling and layering the colourful wools to build your texture, colour and image! Taught step by step so that the process to make it is fun, tactile, simple and safe to make. Maybe you put the felt on to a card, frame it, make it into a cushion or sew it onto a bag! Bring your own A3 sketchbook and b pencils.

 

All the beautiful and colourful merino wool and technical materials will be supplied. Individual works stations but please bring your own apron & face mask!

This one-day workshop teaches you how to create your own painting on silk!
 Limited to 4 places  - £52

Bring your own A3 sketchbook and b pencils. All silk paints, Japanese gutta and silk fabric as well as the technical tools to create your unique artwork will be supplied. Individual works stations but please bring your own apron & face mask!

Introducing to you one of the very special painting techniques and processes that allow you to create a special and beautiful piece of textile artwork. Discover how to apply your artwork onto the silk fabric and enjoy handling the Japanese gutta and applying the wonderful colourful silk paints to build your texture, colour and image! You will be introduced and taught step by step to this tactile technique of making your very own silk painting.

One Day Abstract Printmaking Workshop

A Printmaking course perfect for beginners looking to try something different! Limited to 4 places - £45 

Bring your own A3 sketchbook and b pencils. All artist quality art materials, printing plates, acrylic paint, mixed media and collage papers will all be provided. Individual works stations but please bring your own apron & face mask! A workshop that guides you through the basics of using mixed media to create abstract artworks. The process is fun, fast, spontaneous and multi-layered.

Join us in the studio to take a brayer in hand, roll out acrylic paint, make your marks and pull your prints! Create original artworks by using different surfaces to print from without a press.

Inspired by Artists such as Jackson Pollock, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro and Paul Klee.
