This one-day workshop teaches you how to create your own piece of felt!

Limited to 4 places - £60 10am-4pm

A fabulous felt making workshop that leads you through the whole process of making your own unique textile artwork! Roll up your sleeves and learn how to make a piece of colourful felt. Felt is the oldest form of fabric in the world. It is a soft cloth made by matting fibres together using water. Felt is used in many cultures for making a variety of articles - slippers, bags, garments, tents and rugs.

Introducing one of the earliest fabric making techniques and processes that allow you to create a wonderful piece of textile art. Discover and enjoy handling and layering the colourful wools to build your texture, colour and image! Taught step by step so that the process to make it is fun, tactile, simple and safe to make. Maybe you put the felt on to a card, frame it, make it into a cushion or sew it onto a bag!

All the beautiful and colourful merino wool and technical materials will be supplied. Individual works station provided.
