I studied Art, Art History and Curatorship in London (Middlesex University and at the Barbican) and gained an Art Foundation at the Arts University, Bournemouth. Through this study and subsequent specialist art training courses, together with attaining teaching experience have given me a range of technical skills in mixed media, drawing, painting and printmaking.
Recently I was Head of Art at a local preparatory school where I had the opportunity to be a resourceful and imaginative Art Teacher. Designing a wide range of exciting classes and workshops that actively engaged the children. Also, presenting their artworks in annual Summer Art Exhibitions at school and in local galleries such as St Barbe Museum + Art Gallery and Hatch Gallery.
As part of the Art Angels creative hub, I intend to offer a wide range of exciting short courses, workshops, children's Art Clubs and individual tuition in disciplines such as drawing, painting, printmaking and mixed media.
My teaching style is inspired by the study of Art, Art History and an early career as a contemporary arts curator and by the recent return to my own studio.
These courses are planned to be well structured and supported and aim to be are based around exploration, experimentation, freedom and fun.
